The Gen 5 to Gen 6 Hybrid Recoil Spring allows a Gen 5 slide to run on a Gen 6 frame, opening the door to a wide range of aftermarket and OEM slide options.
 
The hybrid recoil spring is designed specifically for this setup. It uses a Gen 5 size front lug to properly seat in a Gen 5 slide, while the rear lug is sized for the smaller Gen 6 frame spring channel. This allows the spring to fit correctly without the need for spacers, adapters, or other workarounds.
 
Gen 6 slide internals are NOT compatible with Gen 5 slides. You will need to have Gen 5 internals (striker, striker plunger, extractor, etc) already installed in your Gen 5 slide or purchase and install Gen 5 internals in your Gen 5 slide prior to running it on a Gen 6 frame. 
 
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL NEED ONE OF OUR BACK PLATES, which features the correct spacing and cutouts to allow a Gen 5 slide to fit and function properly on a Gen 6 frame. You can also utilize other aftermarket back plates that feature the same spacing and cutouts.
